Biography

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at King Khalid University. Previously, I was a university lecturer at Jazan University and earned my master’s degree in Systems and Software Development from DePaul University. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida, advised by Dr. Qian Lou and Dr. Yan Solihin.

My research focuses on securing transformer-based language models. I study threats and defenses across the LLM lifecycle, including jailbreaking and inference-time attacks, Trojan and backdoor vulnerabilities, and the robustness of text watermarking under real-world and cross-lingual conditions. I am also interested in low-resource and multilingual settings, particularly Arabic. If you are interested in collaborating on AI security, please feel free to reach out by email.
